10. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig
Let’s start with number 10 – Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, which is a book written by Robert M. Pirsig. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance uses the story of a father and his son going on a 17-day long motorcycle trip.
The book, however, is much more than a fictional tale of a motorcycle trip and weaved into the story are philosophical discussions and reflections focusing on the opposition of classical versus romantical thinking in modern society. The book shows us that a balance between science and the humanities – or between a classical and more romantic mindset – can increase your overall quality of life.

The name “Six Thinking Hats” is refering to the six different colors of “hats”, which represents a certain type of thinking. The theory is centrered around getting thinkers to deal with one thing at a time, for everyone to get heard and for every aspect to get investigated.

5. Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman
Now this is a big one. Our top 5 most popular video is on Daniel Kahneman and his life-changing book Thinking, Fast and Slow.

The Halo Effect is a common bias that plays a large role in shaping our view of people and situations. For instance, if you like and agree with a certain person’s beliefs, you likely have a tendency to like (or dislike) everything about that person — including their clothes, their voice, and even things aboth them that you have not observed.
Make sure to check out our blog posts on the different topics in Thinking, Fast and Slow here, here, here, and here.
We also have a longer video on our channel comprising all these topics – find it right here. If you are interested in learning even more, we recommend buying the book.
